Our partners from Hungary (Debrecen) and Turkey (Afionkarahisar) were welcomed in Abraveses and Mundão – the host schools of this III meeting.

The headmasters of both schools – Mr Fernando Figueiral ( Escola Dr. Azeredo Perdigão)  and Ms Benvinda Silva ( Agrupamento de Escolas de Mundão) welcomed Jószef Hetei ( Debrecen) and Ramazan Eryildiz (Afionkarahisar).

All the participants greeted and exchanged presents.

From 11th to 15th March the partners met in Abraveses and Mundão – Viseu.

Our students played linko, boardgame and table tennis in “international teams”.

They were able to show their knowledge on the three participant countries and its culture, traditions, monuments and personalities.

Here you can see some pictures of the activities performed by the students in Abraveses and Mundão.

Since we last met in Afyon our students have been working on games!

They started a research work based on the culture, traditions and History of each partner/ country. They have been preparing wall charts, PowerPoint presentations and other materials to present in the III meeting in Viseu- Portugal.

Based on the information they got , they will play two board games.

One of them is named LINKO  and the other one is a traditional boardgame. For these two games students will have to answer to questions on the culture, traditions and history of the 3 countries.

Students will also play table tennis.

The aim of these activities is to enhance students’ self-confidence, self – esteem and develop friendship and socialization.

There will be 20 people visiting Viseu.

10 teachers and 2 students from Hungary (Debrecen)

4 teachers and 4 students from Turkey (Afionkarahisar).

Teachers will also share experiences related to activities and  games that develop ” Interpersonal relationships” in class.

There will be opportunity to prepare the activities to present in Debrecen, next may or June .

The 2nd meeting is over and it’s time to prepare the new activities.

We would like to thank the Turkish school for its organisation and hospitality. Sahnur and Ramazan made a remarkable job. Congratulations

During these days all partners shared the activities developed with the students involved in the project. It wasn’t that easy to organise the Photo Contest, but some of the students made a wonderful job.

                        Meeting in front of the pension at 9 a.m.(travelling 2-3 hours)

                        Lunch there, in Eskisehir.

                        After lunch, sightseeing in Eskisehir( Going to Anadolu University, getting on a gondola in the (small)River Porsuk, drinking wine in a wine house…)

                       

                        Dinner in Eskisehir at 19.30.

                        Coming back to Afyon.

 

12th October:Departure of the groups.

Hello everyone!

It’s been a long time … but we are still here

Our 2nd meeting will take place in Afyonkarahisar (Afion) Turkey.

We are going to present the works our students have been developing :

- the films about the things they like and don’t like at school

- the Photo Contest

- Games

- Interpersonal relationship activities.

We will arrive in Turkey on 8th October and will be back home on 12th.

From Portugal and Hungary are travelling 14 teachers.

We hope this will be a great meeting

We are organising a kind of a photography contest .

 

There will be 3 compulsory themes and 1 free.

 

    Compulsory theme ideas:    

   

            -churches in my city / village

         - the playground at school

         - nature

 

Churches: students will plan the route in the city / village, so they should check where and what kind of churches are in their cities / villages .They would learn a lot, too and it would be interesting to see in our common exhibition what churches look like in Turkey, Portugal and Hungary.

 

Playgrounds: we thought of it because they spend a lot of time there.

  What do they want to show?

  What they do in the playground, the games they play, where students usually gather …

 

Nature: it depends on their personality what they would take a photo of. Maybe flowers, trees or animals?

Dogs at houses? Dogs wandering around the city? Bee on a flower? We can see their feelings and emotions.

 

FREE: show yourself through your photos.

Maybe some will take his family, friends and maybe himself.

Maybe some will take his computer, bike or … it’s FREE

 

The best in each category will win a trip to Turkey or Hungary  …

                        Turkish group- 9.00 a.m

                        Portuguese group- 12.30 p.m

 

                        Hungarian teachers will be waiting for the groups at the airport.

Travelling by bus.

 

                        At 4 p.m. Mr. János Halász, the deputy mayor of Debrecen is waiting for the

                        Comenius partners. After this meeting we are going to the pension (hotel).

                        If you are not tired and have time, we go to see Debrecen. (1-2 hours)

                        Dinner in a restaurant.

 

17th April:   2 Hungarian teachers are waiting for you in front of the pension at 8.45.

Welcome at school at 9 a.m. Work  from 10.00 to 12.00 a.m.

                       Lunch  at 12.30 at the pension.

                        After lunch we visit Nagytemplom (Big Church) in the main street.

                        (The church closes at 4 p.m.)

                       Afternoon work from 4.00 to 6.30 p.m.

                        Dinner at 7.30 in a restaurant.

 

18th April:    Meeting at school at 9 a.m. Work from 9.00 to 12.00 a.m.

                        Lunch at 13.00 at Casablanca Restaurant.

                        In the afternoon sightseeing in Debrecen and free time.

 

19th April:    Outing to Hortobágy by bus (50 km), to the Hungarian Puszta.

                        Lunch there, in Hortobágy.

                        Farewell evening (dinner) in Debrecen.

 

20th April:   Departure of the groups. We are leaving for Budapest in the morning to have

                        a sightseeing tour there.

 

 

 

Last week from 16th to 20th April the Comenius teams from Hungary, Portugal and Turkey finally met!

 We had a wonderful stay in Debrecen, thanks to Ildikó and all the staff from her school. They made a remarcable job! On the first day we were welcomed by the Mayor of Debrecen and we visited some interesting places of the city. We had a welcome dinner together and we prepared next days’ work.

On the morning of 17th we visited the school. We saw some lessons and children performed some songs and traditional dances for all the teachers. 

 In the afternoon we started the presentations. All the schools talked about the educational system in their countries. We compared and analysed the differences and similarities.

Next, we presented the results of the sociometric survey. This study allowed us to identify and characterize the ” outsiders” in five classes.Teachers showed the results of the questions analysed in this questionnaire.

We also presented the answers to the free time questionnaire. There were many similarities in our students’ answers. Basically they like and dislike the same kind of activities, despite the country where they are living and no matters their social conditions or habits.

 Almost all students like outdoors activities, staying and going out with their friends and they enjoy activities with computers and games in general.

It will be in Hungary – Debrecen

The teams will arrive on 16th April and work will start on  17th morning. We will

* compare the results of the sociometric survey :”identify” outsiders in a class

* analyse the preferences of our students -what concerns their free time

* Share the movies they produced about the things they like and don’t like at school

Teachers will also define an ” OUTSIDER”  – each country will state its opinions on this issue

We will prepare future actions with our students

We  have decided the activity :

Students are going to “produce” a small movie about the way they see their school. In each class (the classes selected for the project) students will work in groups and will tape the aspects of their daily life at school: the things they appreciate, the things they don’t like, those aspects they would change if they could…

They are going to use their own resources : mobile phones and cameras to capture the images they want. Then they will make a short movie ( 5 minutes lenghth) with information written in their mother tongue and in English,too.
