MEETING IN AFYONKARAHISAR

The result of our students’ work. These documents were presented during the 2nd meeting of the project in Turkey – Afyonkarahisar.

A tribute to our friend and colleague : Maria das Neves.

WHAT’S AN OUTSIDER??

 What’s an outsider after all?

Is there only one kind of outsider?

What’s so worrying about being/having an outsider among the, let’s say, insiders?

Must that always be something bad?

What can we do about it? Should we do it? How? When?

Are we doing it thinking about the outsider or about the rest of us?

Who’s the insider? Who’s the rest of us?

Aren’t we all outsiders in some situations?

Weren’t we all outsiders for certain periods, at a certain time? Was that so bad?

Where does the outsider start being a real problem?

A problem for whom?

For himself? For us?

We could keep on asking and asking and asking about the concept of outsider

It’s not that easy with the answers, though…

But we are trying!!

And we have some answers…

That’s what we are here for.

 Some of our students’ works.

Of course we’d like to publish them all because they’ve all worked hard for this project, but we must choose an example and we decided to publish these ones.Congratulations to all participants in this activity.

What are your objectives for European cooperation?

It’s essential for our school community to contact  with other European schools to understand other educational systems, so that everyone can cooperate and exchange experiences to enrich pupil’s learning and teachers teaching methods.
Not only our students will become more motivated with the contact of foreign students but also the teachers will feel fulfilled to notice how other European countries deal with similar teaching problematic.
Participating in this project will also be a way of fighting ostracism and allow our students the possibility of involving themselves in school projects and so avoid the risk of social exclusion and of abandoning school.
