14th October

MEETING IN AFYONKARAHISAR

We have arrived from Afyion and now it’s our turn ( Mundão and Abraveses) to prepare the next meeting.

In this 3rd meeting there will be activities that include students from the three countries. We are still defining the games to be played by the participants. There are some ideas but we must decide the best option, according to our students’ needs and characteristics.

Here are some of the ideas.

PHOTO CONTEST - these are some of the best pictures our students took. Have a look and enjoy.

The next meeting will be in Turkey – Afyonkarahisar.

Our students are still preparing the movies we didn’t present in Debrecen. Some students are using moviemaker and others prefer PowerPoint to complete this task.

The photo contest is running… slowly. We started classes 15 days ago and students are still “getting used” to the school routines :) We settled that the winner of this contest will visit Hungary next May.

We have prepared a PowerPoint about the activities our tutor/former teachers organize with their classes in order to enhance students’ self -esteem, collaboration, socialization and friendship.

There will be a moment to prepare the future activities , related with games that our students can build altogether, in teams. Let’s see.

Meeting in Debrecen – 16th to 20th April 2008

What are your objectives for European cooperation?

We believe that this kind of project will enable our students to develop new, meaningful and challenging experiences. Our main goal is give students general understanding of “human diversity” and encourage them to develop and acquire social skills. Involve students in a process of “self-knowledge/ understanding” building in each student a positive self- image, self-concept. We will try to foster students’ self-esteem, success and motivation through creative activities that will develop and highlight their personal strengths. We want to encourage knowledge, values and attitudes. Hoping to create a welcome atmosphere, promoting active learning and at the same time fighting ostracism and avoid risk of social exclusion.
